buttons missing - connect for outlook
Must be a very simple error here but after installing the "connect for outlook" program nothing happens.
I intall the link from the saleforce webpage but after installing it i open up outlook and nothing is different, no buttons or anything?? When I had it on my old comp it wasn't a problem, would vista be the problem or the fact I have onenote installed aswell??
any help appreciated!
dan
Hi Dan,
Try this:
1. In Outlook, go to Help > About Microsoft Office Outlook.
2. When the window appears, click the Disabled Items button.
3. When the Disabled Items window appears, highlight the first row and click the 'Enable' button. Repeat as needed if there are any other rows in the box until the box is empty. Click the 'Close' button when complete.
4. Click the 'OK' button to close the first window opened.
5. Close Outlook, wait 1 minute, and re-start Outlook again.
6. The Outlook Toolbar should now be back.
Cheers!
Eric
cheers for the info guys, unfortunately I am still no better off! I have closed outlook completely and loaded the program and also sorted the disabled icon button which now doesnt show as holding up anything.
For what ever reason the buttons just wont come onto outlook! :smileymad:
Hi,
were you able to resolve the issue without re-imaging the machine :) ?? I am the admin and I am having this issue with two of my users.
Best
Windows XP box with Office 2007:
- completely uninstalled anything salesforce related & rebooted
- reinstalled SF software
-- including the outlook plug-in through the SF website.
- Open Outlook -- It works - until the computer is turned off & rebooted.
- Manual reinstall of software allows users to use connect.
Windows Vista box with Office 2007:
- completely uninstalled anything salesforce related & rebooted
- reinstalled SF software
-- including the outlook plug-in through the SF website.
- Open Outlook -- It does not work at all.
I tried looking for the DLL files, registry keys, help > disabled, none of these allow the software to a) stay installed on XP boxes or b) actually load on Vista boxes.
Any ideas?
