Email to Salesforce Vs. Outlook Plugin for SF

What is the difference between the two?  We have the plug-in installed to nove emails to SF, but is the Email to SF a new feature?

Also, is there any way to 'cc' other people in Salesforce besides our company users when sending an email from SF?  When I want to copy another lead or contact it only allows me to select our organization's users.

Thanks...

I guess there isnt a whole lot of difference, you could say that email to salesforce is an on demand way of getting that email from outlook into salesforce

With email salesforce you CC a certain email address that you setup in salesforce and it automatically appends it to the contact in the activity history related list

Its based of who you are sending the email to, so this should match to one of your contacts

With Outlook plugin you obviously have the adapter installed on your outlook (which crashes alot) !

and then sync the data from outlook to salesforce

Open the "Send an Email" Task.  Within there you should have the following fields:

To

Related To

Additional To

CC

BCC

Subject

Body

Using the "Additional To" field, you can enter any email address into here (use the full email address format  nnnnn@cccc.mm)
