I am using osx 10.4.8 and also have PocketMac synch to synch with blackberry and
am
using entourage synching too.

anybody have any ideas ?

Weird, I've never seen it do that. Are you running OSX 10.4.8? Are you
using any additional syncing tools (SpanningSync, the sync in
entourage etc?).

Does one of the other sync tools cause the calendar name to change? can you try running SF3 with the other 2 sync tools disabled ?

I have disabled the others and so far the problem has not happened again.

I'd suspect pocket Mac, I haven't seen this kind of problem with the entourage sync.

Yahoo Groups says that http://groups.yahoo.com/group/macforce/ is not a valid group. Is there another URL or different name?

I killed off the Yahoo group when we got this forum.

Is there anyway to start sync from a certain date as in iSync. I don't want my entire Event History from Salesforce.com into my Entourage/iCal.
