Issue with Lexiloader
As of yesterday I am no longer able to log into LexiLoader, i get the message 'Failed to send request to salesforce.com//services/Soap/u/16.0
It worked just fine until last Friday.
Anyone else is having the same issue ? Is there anything out there that provides the same functionality of Data Loader under Mac OS X ?
thanks
dario
Thanks Simon, you were correct in suggesting to verify the URL in the settings; I had www.salesforce.com instead of https://www.salesforce.com so that caused the error.
thanks!

Hi Simon,
just downloaded LexiLoader for my Mac, but I can't login. Tried to set server host to https://emea.salesforce.com as I'm based in France, but this didn't help. Is there any other setting that I could miss from here ?

ps: in the settings section, it would be nice to allow ISO international date format (yyyy-mm-dd) as used by most Asian countries and by people who like to keep dates sorted.
the server should be set to www.salesforce.com. remember that you'll probably need to use your security token to login in conjunction with your password.
Many thanks Simon, I wasn't aware of the security token mechanism. I'm now able to log in.
Cheers - jr
ps: I'm impressed by your response time !
Where can you find the settings in lexi loader?
I am getting the same error when i try to login though i used my security token.
Settings are under the Settings > Settings menu item.
You can only see this when the main window is open so, after first launching, you would need to click the Cancel button to get the main window to show. Kludgey but it works...

Thanks Chris. I found the settings but i am still not able to login. The error message i get is "Failed to send request to https://www.salesforce.com/services/Soap/u/26.0"
In settings, batch size is 500, server host is https://www.salesforce.com. Is there any other setting which may be causing this. The proxy settings are mising.
I tried logging in with and without the security token but i get the same error. I also see no entries in the login history on salesforce.
There are no other settings you should have to worry about and Proxy settings only required if you must go through a proxy server (mine are all blank). My host is set to <https://login.salesforce.com> but I also tried <https://www.salesforce.com> and it worked fine. It also works if you clear the host field. Yes, append security token to password.
I know you have to have API access enabled in your profile and this is only available for Enterprise, Unlimited or Dev editions (unless purchased separately) but I would expect a different error message. Also, I just noticed that I still have v25 so you might want to try grabbing an older version to see if it makes any difference?
Chris
Thanks all.
I couldn't get Lexiloader to work at the office but it was fine at home. There must be a proxy server at the office.
