Id like to chime in here as I have the following situation.
I work at a private equity firm and we use something called NAVATAR for our CRM. We also happen to be a MAC only shop so this has made data entry a royal pain in the butt.
From my perspective I would love to see the ability to do the following
In NAVATAR/SF in order to create an investment opportunity I need to do three things
1) Create the Company
2) Associate a Contact / Create a contact
3) Create a new pipeline for that Company
I have been gnashing my teeth about the fact that this requires three separate steps and that I cannot do this my importing a contact from Address Book and importing an email as the first entry in the pipeline.
Id like to use the connector to be able to create this at the touch of a button (create new pipeline)
It would
1. Check to see if the contact exists (by email address) - else pull it from Address Book
2. Check to see if company exists (search button) otherwise offer option to create
3. Create pipeline based on company name and date
If you dont have the time and know someone who does - we do need to figure this out soon
There's not right now, can you detail some more how you imagine this working? which fields from the email are copied into the opportunity ?
