I've tried it on Mavericks with Mail and it worked fine for me, but some people have reported issues (primarily seem to be related to Outlook), and in general there seems to be applescript issues across the board with Mavericks, at a guess Apple changed some library that the apps get their applescript support from and this is causing issues.
If Maildrop is business critical for you then I'd hold off updating until a couple of updates for it have been released.
