VF email template via "Send an Email" button

From a Lead or Contact, you can click the "Send an Email" button (/_ui/core/email/author/EmailAuthor...) and choose a visualforce email template. However, how does one populate the template's recipient record and relatedTo record? Are there parameters that can be passed to populate these? The org is PE and does not have Apex, so the solution must not require Apex code.

Thanks

Jeremy

I don't think so. For example, a VF allows template your recipient to be a User. However, the p2 parameter only seems to allow contacts and leads.

If you populate a Lead or Contact for the p2 parameter, the VF template's merge fields don't get populated with values from the Lead/Contact. It seems that this "send an email" interface is just only partially implemented for VF email templates.
