Tabbed VF performance issue

I have an issue with Tabbed visual page. We have around more than 250 fields in an object. So we have designed to use tabbed VF page. But the problem is now it take a while to load all the tabs.

 

Is there anyway we can improve the page loading? Please advise us.

Not sure. How about adding a "Loading, please wait" message?

Thanks for the reply. May be that will work for us. But we need to improve the page performance over all. Like, render first tab at page load and as the user click the next tab then render the next one. Please help us to find solution.
