help with vf page-EMI calculation

hi can any one help  me wit the emi calculation.

i have a vf page with enter the month:(where i ll enter the month) and enter the amount(where i ll enter the amount) .

one i entered it need to split the interest amount based on month entered in the input field.

after entering a a value in the month check whether entered value is num or not in the onblur event and in the same event if it is a number then go ahead with your caliculation....call a javascript function if it is client side break up... if not call a controller method throught this script and perform the caliculations in the class...
