Visual force 64-bit windows zip is corrupt

Hello,

I'm trying to install the visual force ide via the 64-bit windows zip here:

http://wiki.developerforce.com/page/Force.com_IDE_Installation

I've tried downloading it several times on both Chrome and IE, but the zip is corrupt and won't open.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Mark.

Aaah, Ok, I had the 32-bit version of Java installed on my 64-bit machine.

Installing the 64-bit version has fixed the problem with the zip :)

The 32-bit .exe (for some reason the 32-bit one is an exe and the 64-bit is a .zip) is also corrupt.

So, I managed to get a non-corrupted version of the 64-bit zip  (the 32-bit exe still doesn't work).

However, when i run "Force.com IDE Installer.exe" from the expanded zip folder, I get a dialog that pops up:

"JVM terminated. Exit code=-1"

and a load more stuff that would take too long to type!

Is it just me, or is this not the smoothest installation process in the universe?

Hey Mark,

I'm looking into this but can't seem to reproduce your error. What version of windows are you on?

In the meantime, you can try to insall the plug-in through a vinilla eclipse.

I still haven't been able to reproduce the problem. Any additional information would help, otherwise I will keep my ears open for other cases to narrow down the problem.

Your trouble can be solved thanks to zip recovery software.

Your file was obviously corrupted in time of its downloading or during uploading to download host.
