Two tabs for one object

Hi,

 

Can I have two or more tabs for the same object? I have a custom object for which I have a tab, but for the same object I want to have another tab in which I'll show some other fields, the main task is to share the same object by two tabs.

Well I looked for creating a tab with VisualForce Page and I guess it will work for me.

Hi,

 

We cannot create more than one tab for an object. But we can create a web tab for that object. According to your requirement you can create the two record types in your custom object and also create page layout for each record type. With the help of web tabs display two different tabs with different page layouts.
