Displaying Picklist field and Lookk up field side by side

Hi,

I have a picklist value (Asset ,opportunity) and also want that when asset is selescted beside that i should get the Asset lookup .

This also goes for Opportunity.

For clarity you can refer the standard Task Object Field::RELATED TO:

The same way i want it.

You can achieve this only using Visualforce and Apex. Not Possible in Standard layout.
