Lead conversion
Hi Friends
I am using force.com group edition. commonly lead has converted to an opportunity. but i want to convert the lead to account. I want to set the account fields when click the "Map Lead Fields" button in the lead custom fields and relationship. Please any one can suggest me how to convert the lead to account. Please post your valuable suggestion.

I think you have got some misconception. When you convert a lead, the standard lead fields are automatically converted to the account, contact, and opportunity fields listed below. Custom lead fields are converted to custom account, contact, and opportunity fields as specified by your administrator.
Contact: Mailing Address
If the lead has multiple associated campaigns, the most recently associated campaign is inserted into the opportunity regardless of whether the user has sharing access to it.
Contact: Account
Opportunity: Account Name
Opportunity: Opportunity Name
This field is not updated for leads converted to existing contacts.
This field is not updated for leads converted to existing contacts.
Contact: Fax
Contact: Owner
Opportunity: Owner
Opportunity: Lead Source
This field is not updated for leads converted to existing opportunities.
Contact: Phone

Thanks for your suggestion..standard fields are automatically converted. but If we want to convert the custom lead fields to account. we must create the custom fields in Account object also?

You are right. You need to create custom fields in account object also.
