C:\Fakepath error

Hi All,

The problem is instead of actual path, I am getting C:\Fakepath in IE, Chrome, Safari. Enabled 'Include local directory path when uploading files to a server' in IE but still doesn't work in IE. Any insights? Please help. Thanks!!

Following is the VF page with embedded javascript that allows the user to select the file and then populates Salesforce records with FileName, and FilePath. The original code was used as Scontrol in Salesforce Labs app External Attachment.

Update: Works fine in IE.

Problem: How to make it work in Safari, or Chrome, or Mozilla???

I have been spending half my time on the internet checking forums after forums to see if any one has found a solution to make it work in any other browser except IE but so far every forum ends with it is simply impossible.

Any insights? Please help!

Same issue here! It seems that it is a internet security issue. I did not find some solutions after doing research for half a day.

True story! I mean it works perfectly in Internet Explorer but since we need to make it work in other browsers... I went along the Hyperlinking solution.
