Customer Portal and Products

Can we access products from customer portal ??

No, only the following objects can display as tabs in your Customer Portal:

 

• Ideas

• Home

• Cases 

• Reports

• Solutions

• Web tabs

• Documents from the Documents tab

• Salesforce Content tabs:Workspaces, Content, Subscriptions, and Contribute

• Custom objects

 

You can read more in the Implementation Guide (page 19).

Partner Portal Product allows you to access the Products standard object.

The issue we are having is that we would like the portal user to add assets, which is not possible in Partner Portal nor Customer Portal.
