Sites Price & Availability

Hi - Apologies in advance if this has already been posted - searched but just could not find...

I'd like to confirm the current Price and Availability for Sites

Price (for Enterprise Edition)

The "Selecting the Right Salesforce Edition" does not seem upto date.

Availability (for EMEA)

Spring '09 has it at Developer Preview and Winter '10 Release notes show it as in production which is great.

Any dates for when this will be available?

Regards

Paul

1- Force.com sites comes with free monthly page views with Enterprise edition (500K page views/month), unlimited edition (1M pageviews/month) and force.com free edition (250K page views/month).

Additional monthly page views can be purchased

2- when you create your first site we do do create 2 cnames behind the scenes: one for http like abc.foce.com, and one for https like abc.secure.force.com. These cnames might take up to 24 hours to work globally.

Bulent,

A client of mine wants to expose some parts of their CRM Non-profit edition org via Sites to have users submit online scholarship applications. Is can SF Sites be enabled for Non-profit edition orgs?

Also, there could be 500 registered applicants. In order to register them and provide them authenticated access to the online application, do we need to have the client buy Customer Portal licenses? What is the cost involved? Does SF restrict us from developing  Login/Auto-Registration/Lost password functionality native on SF Sites itself?

Andi,

Sites is enabled as part of active enterprise and unlimited edition orgs. If your org is one these type orgs then you already have sites. Sites is not enabled for trial orgs, I'm not sure if your org is a trial org or not.

For authenticated access sites provides seamless integration with portals. Non-profits have special discounts for these products, so I would recommend to talk to your account executive for portal licenses and use the right secure technology rather than trying to re-build these important features.
