Is it possible to update records on  force.com sites?

Thanks

Hi,

You can update the records on standard objects and custom objects records .Are you using standard objects or custom object?

You can provide the CRUD permission for a guest user profile.

Did this answer your question? If not, let me know what didn't work, or if so, please mark it solved.

Please explain how you can update standard objects on Sites. The Sites Guest User Profile only seems to allow Read, Create permissions for standard objects, but not Edit, Delete. Is there a way around this?

If you figure out an answer to this let me know, I have the same issue!

Unless you're coming in as a Partner Portal or Customer Portal user (via Sites login) - Sites isn't designed to be a data entry / maintenance mechanism for your Standard CRM Object data.

(From the Sites Intro Page)

"With the public access settings you're allowed to set full create/read/update/delete (CRUD) permissions for all custom objects, and read and create on most standard objects. There are three standard objects – Products, Pricebooks, and Ideas – that are exposed as read only."
