lookup field other then Name on custom object

Has anyone found a way to look up a field other then "Name" on a custom object?

I created an object called "Graduate" then I created an object called "Graduate Cases"

Graduate's in our organization is different from account so we wanted place the Graduates in there own Object.

 

I created a lookup field/relationship on Graduate Cases that looks up to Graduate.

 

I went into setup, settings, search settings, and I enabled enhanced lookups for the object Graduate, however on my lookup field all I am seeing is what they call the "Name" field on my lookups. 

 

So either Graduate Name or Graduate number depending if I have Text or Auto Number enabled.

Unfortunately you will not be able to customize the lookup functionality using the standard components.
