Launching hybrid_remote app on Android gives error

When I am trying to launch an android hybrid app created using forcedroid it gives following error

The error in this case is only informational.  It will occur whenever the app runs for the first time, and doesn't have an account associated with the user.  It shouldn't otherwise impact the functionality of your app.

It does impact the functionality of the app as the app hangs.
I am doing this with the Android SDK "Account Manager" app downloaded from github.
It worked one time - I successfully logged in, but now every time I start the app I see what vinm was seeing. I tried restarting the device and got the same result. Is there a way to bounce the app/clear the lock on the server side?

Tried running on a new emulator.  On the new emulator, the app prompts for user login, but after logging in (as the same user), the app hangs again spinning on LockChecker:run isLocked:true ... it sure looks like its a server side issue. So where is this lock?

I am trying to build an hybrid_local Android app and runs into the same issue. The template projects lacks a couple of permission in the manifest (and the SmartSync.js in the assets/www folder?!). When I try to run it I get the same error, the application runs in cycles forever and I never get to run it for a second time, it always run for the first time and always crashes for this reason.

Can you please provide some insight? I've followed both the instruction on the documents and on the webinars, they didn't work :(!
