How to integrate with other application

Hi  all,

 

                   I have been    involved in  salesforce development  from last one year  onwords.   Now every  one asking  about integration  like have you done any integrations. plz le me know   what is the procedure  to learn  integation  with other application,   what is minimum knowledge to  learn that, Please guide me the  right way to learn integrations.
