1 SF login for two different instances?

Hello Everyone,

 

Our company has several seperate instances of salesforce.com. Is it possible to use a single sign on to gain access to each instance instead of having to create a login for each instance?

 

Any information would be much appreciated.

An organization on Salesforce.com is globally unique, and requires a globally unique username.  So user John Smith would need a login for jsmith@org1.com and jsmith@org2.com. 

 

I believe you can work around this with SSO and federation identifiers.  See here for details:
