Hi,
I have a few reports created. I want these reports to be viewed by a particular profile. They should not be able to edit it. How can i set these ?
Thanks
Prady
Hi Prady - Report and Dashboard access control lists (ACL) are at the folder level and are tied to roles and public groups.
Profiles and Permission Sets only allow you to Manage or Run a report, they can't provide granular access beyond that.
See the online help topic for more detail: https://na1.salesforce.com/help/doc/en/customize_folders.htm
Thanks!
Adam
Thanks atorman...
Can i restrict the view of records only to records owned by logged in user.
For example.
The logged in user who views his time off report should only be allowed to view his timeoff, he should not be allowed to view other employee's time off
There is no need for us to restrict , Salesforce automatically restrict the visibility of records , it all depends on the role hierarchy
the report shows records owned by the logged in user.
