Windows XP Professional SP2
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_03-b07)
Thanks for posting, Clinton.
I'm also getting "Error opening the editor" messages when I try to create a new Apex Control or open an existing one. I can create and connect to Apex projects without trouble though.
I'm using Eclipse Europa Version: 3.3.0, Build id: I20070625-1500 and Apex Eclipse Toolkit 8.0.2002
Is the Apex Toolkit compatible with Eclipse 3.3? The log indicates a possible problem in plugin.xml...

I had some problems getting the Apex plugin to load (kept getting install failed messages) until I patched 3.2.2.
Once I did that, all worked A-OK.
