Barbara.B I tried to set user sharings as described in

It was not possible, because I can't see the User object at the Sharing settings page. (Logged in with system administrator profile, permission "Manage User" is set). How can I view/update sharing settings for user object?
Just check if the user object is not the part of the details records in the master-detail relationship. This object will not show up in sharing list of the objects and will assume the sharing rules of the parent.
