S-Control for Adding Optional Products to an Opportunity

I would like to add "optional" products to an opportunity that do not appear in the total.  Is there an s-control that would let me select a product and display information about it (unit pricing, etc.)?

Salesforce does not provide an scontrol for this specific case.  Seems like a simple scontrol to write though.

Unfortunately, I do not have the expertise to write an s-control and was hoping that others had encountered a similar situation and one had been written.  If anyone knows of an s-control like this or any product information s-controls that I may be able to modify, I would appreciate it.
