Formula Field to calc from related objects

Hello,

Is there any way to create a formula field that will add up values from related records, instead of just using fields within the object? We are attaching sales data to our Opportunities, and I would like to put a Total_Sales field in there that will provide a total of all related SalesRecord objects.

The answer today is no ... calculations can only reference fields in the same object.

What you want to do has been requested by quite a few people, and is somewhere on their roadmap.

Make sure you post a request for the feature from the Help & Training / Support tab within salesforce so your "vote" is counted ...
