Error while installing Apex plugin for Eclipse 3.3.2


While Installing Apex plugin in Eclipse 3.3.2, getting an error saying"Network Connection Problems Encountered During Search"

I followed the procedure given in http://wiki.apexdevnet.com/index.php/Force.com_IDE_Installation_for_Eclipse_3.3.x

Please suggest is  how to rectify this error or please suggest me other way to install Apex plugin in Eclipse.

Make sure you have the right URL for the Force.com IDE update.  If that isn't a problem, sounds like a network timeout, so you should just try it again.

I'm having the same problem trying to install the Apex plugin. Have tried it several times with no success. This is the error text:
 
Network connection problems encountered during search.
Unable to access "http://download.eclipse.org/releases/europa".
Error parsing site stream. [Premature end of file.]
Premature end of file.
Error parsing site stream. [Premature end of file.]
Premature end of file.
Unable to access "http://www.adnsandbox.com/tools/ide/install/".
Error parsing site stream. [Premature end of file.]
Premature end of file.
Error parsing site stream. [Premature end of file.]
Premature end of file.
Possibly an Internet Options setting that needs to be changed? Any help greatly appreciated.

How did you fix the proxy settings (might be something our IT Department need to do)? Had the same error message.

Hi SAKO,

              First you need to know the proxy settings for your internet connection. If there any proxies available then apply those proxy settings to the Eclipse. 

             Applying proxy settings in Eclipse: Window-> Preferences-> General-> Network Connections.
