Can I export List Views to Excel using Excel Connector ?

I know this can't be done from within SF - jsut wondering if the EC will make that possible since

Yes, if your SF Admin has enabled Printable List Views you can do this (from the Salesforce UI, not the Excel Connector).

You might want to check out Excelist, a native Salesforce app which makes it incredibly easy to export any list to Excel.  It's fully compatible with Microsoft Excel 2003, 2007, and 2010 for Windows and Excel 2008 and 2011 for the Mac. You can export up to 200 records at a time, or select specific records to export. Give it a test drive or install a free trial today.
