Can we launch a private beta now?

Can we launch a private beta before the Hackathon begins? We want to start testing earlier with users and signing folks up, but just want to make sure that wouldn't violate the rules.

So, you are mostly done already? Not bad for one week! I would not "launch" anything. You must have friends and family that can give you feedback. As to a rules violation, I'm not sure which rule you would violate. I'm no lawyer, so, read the rules carefully.
