platforms for hackathon

We were just wondering what platforms would be accepted as accepted platforms for the Hackathon. IE android/ IOS/ Cross platform solution such as PhoneGap?

This will be a call for the judges. I would think that the intent of the hackathon is to leverage the salesforce platform, which does include Heroku. But, I also think that the more you leverage the better. It will really depend on the quality of app.

They're all fair game - just so long as your app uses a component of Salesforce Platform as well.

How strongly should the app tie into the existing Salesforce system? What if the app simply uses heroku psql?
