We're actually looking for folks to email us proposals after reading the RFP.  Please email us at database@neym.org.  We will select a small amount of the proposals (not more than 10) and contact the developers for an interview.  Unfortunately, we don't have the bandwith to discuss the RFP with developers before the RFP deadline.

We have read your RFP for Database Redesign project which was quite self explanatory. However we have few questions regarding the same and need your inputs. Below are the queries:

1. Are you currently using salesforce? If yes, what is the current edition you have?

2. Is this database synchronization will be 2 ways? As in the data will flow into the data base from your website and also the data in the salesforce will be reflected on the website too.

3. If you have a sister organization already using salesforce, they would be having their own objects and triggers defined.

Why don't we go for having two different record types in salesforce? One for your organization and other for the sister organization.

Greetings for the day.

Thank you for your response on our queries. We have gone through the questions and answers list provided and we are surprised to see people asking stupid questions there. We understand your business needs and would like to tell you more about it.

This project is not only the database redesign since you are not using salesforce currently. We need to do salesforce implementation first for you which will involve customizing the salesforce as per your requirements focusing on your types of contacts, accounts, donations types etc you track. Once the salesforce is ready, we will design the database to pull the data required in the salesforce and vice-versa.

We would really appreciate a call over skype to consult you more about salesforce best practices.
