Which Report Type to Use?

There are parent & child objects which have lookup relation b/w them ,if i want to get a field from parent by means of generating a report on child object, which report type i have to use?

Hello,

You need to create a custom report type, keeping Child object as primary object and parent object as Secondary object. Choose option "Each "A" record must have at least one related "B" record."

Now create report on this report type.
