Best way to plan a project

Hi,

Just a general question, how do you plan a project in salesforce if you quite new to the language.  What do people generally do, do they keep it in house or go to a third party company.

Do you spend a week planning, looking at what is risky etc.

Regards

Richard

If you aren't familiar with this type of work, I would highly recommend finding a solid Consultant Company to help you in this work.  It would be costly, but better than turning into a catasrophe if you don't have the internal experience to do so.

If you have some very some internal SFDC architects then your company may be up to the task.  Integration of products with SFDC is never easy.

It really depends on a combination of your experience/knowledge, what is entailed in the project, how difficult is the project, and a few other minor things.  There is really no set rule that makes a BEST way to plan a project.

Thanks for you reply d.phillippil.  we are looking to do similar integration with our products as philips and toyota have done on their salesforce orgs.  We are trying to understand how big a task that would be.
