  Why Assignment Rules are available for Lead and Case object?

Lead and Case are the two major objects which hold the records which run the Sales and Service Processes.

Leads and Cases are records which organizations capture from outside/ their customers and want their ORG users to work on it which is the reaosn they have assignment rules.

Asisgnment rules are used to correctly channelize these records to the correct teams to they can work on it.
