is it possible to change the created while inserting?

For example i would like to insert records today,but the created date should be yesterday's.is it  possible?

Createddate is an audit field which is not editable. So answer is NO.

Are you facing problem due to different timezone?

Thank You for your reply. Actually it was my interview question.and interviewer said it is possible. Is there any way to do so?

It is possible by logging case with Salesforce for allowing setting values to the Audit fields. Mostly done for legacy data migration from different app to Salesforce.
