Eclipse IDE error

I'm new to salesforce development and trying to install Force.com IDE and getting below error

Artifact not found: http://media.developerforce.com/force-ide/eclipse42/content.jar.

Any suggestion or help.

Which version of Java do you have and the version of Eclipse are you trying to install?

Hey Samir,

I searched a bit on this eror you are getting and found a site where user mentioned that using java1.6 might help you reslve the problem..did you happen to try that?
