About the Patch

Hi,

Please anyone can tell me about the patches in the salesforce and why to use the patches.

Can you elaborate on what type of patches you are referring to?  If this is for a managed package, a patch org allows you to apply fixes to older versions of the managed package - effectively branching it.  You can also push patches if you are an ISV partner, which means that customers just get your latest code without having to install it themselves.
