HasOptedOutOFEmail

Hi folks,
    Can anyone tell me what is the purpose of HasOptedOutOFEmail in contact and lead object

Hi Karthick

If anyone doesn't want to recieve emails from salesforce.com, they can choose 'Email Opt out' option 

If a contact/Lead has opted out of email, then emails will not go from force.com

When you Mass Email, if they click the "Unsubscribe" link, this field is set to true:

Hi karthick,
   The purpose of HasOptedOutOfEmail is to give the user facility to unsubscribe your email.
Many companies send the mail to their lead and contacts , For lead they send the mail to convince to purchase their porduct or service ,
  and to contact they send mail if there is any new offer or usage report, billing. Like banks are now sending mail to their customer for  evey transaction and monthly reoprt also.
