License requirements for a customer who logs in to my app

If I create an application that I want my customers to login to access their records, how must they be licensed to have this access?

Mike - Your best bet is to reach out to your Salesforce rep. If you don't have one, simply create a case and someone will contact you. There are few things that they will need to know from you before they can answer the licensing price -- Salesforce edition, name based on login based licensing, who is your customer -- your internal users, external customers, external partners, etc.
