How to create salesforce1 app for custum application?

Currently, the quick start wizard is showing the Navigation Menu, where only standard functionalities are there. Custom app or object is not visible.
Again in global actions, can add any custum action. and compact layout, its showing only for the Contact object. How to customize for the custom objects.

The custom objects should be available under the recent items section:

for users who are not able to see them, ask them to do the following:

1) Click on the + to the right of the visible tabs within any application in Salesforce Browser
2) Choose 'Customize my tabs' 
3) Select any appropriate application and ADD the Standard or Custom object to the 'Selected' column 
4) Save 
Now, the added objects should appear under the Salesforce1 Recent Items section.
