Hi ,

It is not possible to import data in PDF format. We can only import data in CSV format.

Please use Import wizard for records less than 50000 and Data loader for Import,Update,Extract data from Salesforce.com.

Please go through :

Data Loader :
https://help.salesforce.com/htviewhelpdoc?err=1&id=data_loader.htm&siteLang=en_US

Import Wizard :
https://help.salesforce.com/HTViewHelpDoc?id=importing.htm&language=en_US haw

Please let me know if you still have any issues.

Thanks

Hi I recognize this is rather old but I was looking for something similar and discovered Opait Report Designer.  It has a number of cool featuers and capabilities for extracting data and especially tables from PDFs and convert them into most formats.

You can download a trial version at opait.com

Good luck

Hi Chantee,

Salesforce does not have the capability to import data directly from a PDF format. Salesforce can only import data in CSV (Comma Separated Values) format. In order to import data from a PDF document, it must first be converted to a CSV (Comma Separated Values) format. Once the conversion is done, various tools such as Salesforce's Import wizard, Data Loader, or Third-party tools can be used to import the data into Salesforce.
If you're looking to import fewer than 50,000 records, use the import wizard. For importing more than 50,000 and up to 5 million records, use the data loader.

For a complete guide on importing data, refer to the guide available at https://arrify.com/import-data-in-salesforce/. This guide provide comprehensive understanding of importing data into Salesforce, including all related details, tools and options.
