DEV502

Is there a certification for DEV502 or only training?

If Yes, what is the pre-requisite for DEV502? and how do we register for that ?

the basic developer is a prereq. for the advanced test, and in my experience, the more you know, the better; so the 502 training is sure to help with these certifications.

It is just training and not certification! Certification exam will be 501 which is also called as "Advance Developer Certification"

Just to be clear 501 represents the course code NOT the exam. IE if you go on the 501 course it doesn't mean that you will have all the information to take the "Advanced developer certification" but of course it will help. People do call it the "501 exam" but in the eyes of Salesforce this is incorrect.
