Comment syntax for button

I have tried

// comment
/* comment */
<!-- comment -->

Any other ideas what the syntax might be? Or is it not possible at all?
It says we can apply for formula fields, but not sure on buttons

Yeah, /* */ works on formulas, but no luck in buttons. Pretty unfortunate, since they can become quite complicated.
What type of buttons? If its a javascript button you can use javascript commenting...

No unfortunately. It's a detail page link that displays in existing window with sidebar and content URL.

A very old thread but for a Conga Button (which is URL) just start the line with an underscore .. here's a sample
Note comments have no blank spaces ... a bit clunky but at least it works
Whether this works for other URL type buttons is anybody's guess

Comment syntax for button and more which we are creating. If you have different options that means that you like to handle all the information as we all want. I don't know what are the things which we need to resolve this syntax button error.
