OpportunityLineItem and Opportunity Products both are same?

Hi guys,

What is the relationship between Opportunity,OpportunityLineItem, Opportunity Products and Products?
Is opportunityLineItem same as that of the Opportunity Products?

Yes, OpportunityLineItem and Opportunity Products are the same.  OpportunityLineItem is the API Name, where as Opportunity Product is the standard label they go by in the UI.  OpportunityLineItem is a type of a junction object (or Many to Many relationship) between Products and Opportunities.

Okay thanks Sir. OpportunityLineItem means one Opportunity record right? If OpportunityLineItem and Opportunity Products are same then both Opportunity and OpportunityLineItem(Or Opportunity Products) should have the same fields right? Why r they having different set of fields? Please explain.
