i have a dough that is diff between visible and read only in filed level security?

Rajesh,

Visible : If you want to make a field read/edit for a profile then you should be enable "Visible" checkbox in field level security

Read-Only: If you enable the "Read-Only" checkbox in the field level secuity, that field will be read only for the profile, users can't edit values. Field must be Visible to be Read-Only
