How to replace the current system administrator?

I am practicing on trailhead via using my developer org. The chalenging asked me to Create a Guest Administrator and deactivate it. I am currenly the System Administrator of my developer org. We have only one license for System Administrator. How should we solve this issue in order to:
Create a new user using the System Administrator profile and then deactivate that user to preserve the licenses in your org.The new user must use the System Administrator Profile.
The username for the new user must include 'guestadmin' somewhere in it.
The new user must be inactive.
I need some hints or advices. Thanks.

Every developer edition org should have two salesforce licenses and both of them can have the System Administrator profile.

I just tried that with mine and it worked.

Hi Ashok,

You have to create new user with salesforce licenses and select profile as system administrator for new guest user.

setup --> manageuser -->User-->  New user --> select  user license as salesforce and profile as system administrator

To deactivate the existind admin user goto 
setup --> manageuser -->User--> click edit new to existing admin user and uncheck the Active button

I had to deactivate the other users that I had created through other learning excersizes before I was able to create the guestadmin user.

Hello,
I did the same challenge but i got this error message : 
"Challenge not yet complete... here's what's wrong: 
The user's profile was not set to System Administrator"

I precise that i already set the profile to system administrator. I don't see anything wrong !

Did someone face the same problem ? How to solve it ?

To solve this just make a clone of the profile "System Administrator" in your idiom and set the name "System Administrator". To finalize make a change at the profile of the "guestadmin" user to this new profile and voilá.

Hi guys,

Can you please explain in more details? When I clone the System Administrator profile it still comes as a "Salesforce" license which is not available in licenses list of new Guestadmin user.

Hi All,

I think there is an issue if you have already created a user as part of a previous Admin topic. I had done this, and was then unable to see the Salesforce User License and System Administrator Profile in any subsequent new user I created. However, I could change the profile of the user I had previously created in order to pass the challenge. I think this makes sense...

So, I also had this problem ... and then I had another problem in that I created the new user with the system admin profile, but the challenge still wasn't accepted ... so I had to create an entire new developer account and then create the user again in that new developer acount ... then it worked!! whew ... a little annoying that you have to go through that though :0

Hi Guys, i was able to identify the solution. So basically, apart from your own system admin profile in the developer org, you must have created another user (could have been any Profile). However, as Kevin Lam mentioned, developer orgs are given 2 salesforce licenses, and you must have used the 2nd license too in one of the previous modules. Have that users "username" changed to "guestadmin" and later deactivate the user to complete the assessment. Hope this makes sense.

Hey guys.  I had the same problem and only seemed to have one SA user available to me on my developer org.  Instead of setting up and trying my luck with a new developer org I just dropped it. :(
