Narasimha, you can pass the URL you want to return to, by passing an additional parameter in the URL of your custom object creation page: "retUrl". Check here, this might give you some ideas http://raydehler.com/cloud/clod/salesforce-url-hacking-basics-with-returl-saveurl-and-cancelurl.html

This might mean that you would need to over-write your "New" button for your custom record.
