Lookup Field

I have like to compare previous lookup field value and current lookup field value. If it is same value record is saved, otherwise throw error message.

Couuld you please tell in brief,you have two lookup field and wanted to compare both field or you have one lookup field ?

I have one lookup field. Enter a fresh entry this lookup field the value has accept. When i have enter the same lookup field for another value, first compare previous value and current value is same to accept the value. otherwise display error. using apex code

Do you want to do this comparision in a trigger or you are having custom lookup in a VF page?
Provide bit more inputs..
