What is diffrence between List View and reports in salesforce?

List views are just the list of records of a same object type. Suppose you have clicked on Account tab, you will see the list view of accounts. But Reports are analytical snaps of your business like a spreadsheet.

A list view is used to quickly segment, and then take action on records.
To create a new view, click Create New View at the top of any list page or in the Views section of any tab home page.

 Report:-
A report is used to summarize record data for analysis.
Three types of Reports are there:-
1.Tabular report:- This is the most basic report. It displays just the row of records in a table like format with grand total.
2.Summary report:- This is the most commonly type of report. It allows grouping of rows of data. It supports sorting and displaying subtotals.
3.Matrix report:- This is the most complex report format. Matrix report summarize information in a grid format. Matrix reports allows records to  
be grouped by both columns and rows.

List Views are only for specific 1 object, in reports we can add upto 4 objects.
you cant combine data of more than 1 object in list view.
4 types of reports can be created -Tabular, Summary,Matrix and Joined Reports

You can summarize the records,
You can do a subtotals in reports.
