How to move customizations from a dev org to production?

I am working within a dev org and was told I cannot have this "go live" automatically with littel explanation as to the best path to move the work I have done into a production account.  Can anyone point me in the right direction?  Appreciate your help!

Hi Andrew,

You can create outbound change set to move customization data from dev to Production.
You can also use eclipse to move customization data to production
You can use migration tool to move customization data to production
Note:- If youre overriding existing production customzation work with dev work. then take backup of production work and deploy dev work to production
